  • what glue can i use to stick onto wood?

Could any of you good people advise me on what glue to use…I need to stick on a couple of little carved wooden wotsits (I’m technical me 🙄 ) onto a glossed sign (exterior) I don’t want them to drop off as soon as it gets a bit frosty (I’m hoping there is something I can get from a shop rather than some specialist online store as I don’t do this enough to warrant the minimum spend.

    Thanking you in advance

You might want to try double-sided VHB tape.
I’d suggest Gorilla Glue, as it is strong, but it expands and can get messy.
Even regular silicone would probably work, but I think the tape may be your best bet.

    :lol1: Stick like s**t….is that a brand name :lol1:

I know where i can get some arledite, so i will go with that, thank you for all your replies though 😀

I know it must seem like a silly question, but i wanted to check to see what I could use outdoors the last thing i wanted was me little fleur de lys plopping on the floor after a couple of months & getting trampled by a lot of naughty scouts

    Hi Vicki

You want to watch out if you are sticking it straight onto the gloss. Because you are just relying on the layer of gloss! You may want to get the bit you are sticking to sanded down for better adhesion 😎

    Long live the brush! :punk:
