what front loading Sign Frame can i use?
Have a sign to erect that will be 5mm acrylic to go into a frame.
Problem is there is an overhang directly above the shop fascia and columns tight to both sides, leaving only the bottom (which then can’t have hidden fixings), or the front into which to insert the acrylic.
Has anyone got any experience of front loading frames suitable for 5600 x 900mm and could they recommend me anything?
Also there will be stainless lettering with a 30mm return on this sign should that make any difference to the type of frame to use.

Paul, front loading is not a problem, you just have to get the hanging strip in the correct place, and insert the fascia in two or more pieces, at an angle into the top rail, sliding the first one against the spring clip and wedge it there till the othe pieces are inserted.
Your frame supplier should give you the sizes to position the strip, and also the recomended under size for the panels.

If you use a standard panatrim frame with a front hanging strip you shouldn’t have any problems. You need to make the dimensions of the acrylic approx 30mm less than the external dimensions of the frame so that you can slide it in then when it hangs the bottom is inside the bottom frame, ditto the width.
You then slide the first panel in push to the left/ right as far as it will go this should be the one with your joining strip on, put the second panel in pull the two together and join with the strip. then centre them in the frame.

Like above – but I used EUROTRIM (from Cox). I put the springs (sold for the job of pushing the sections together) in the sides. This will allow you to cut your panels about 20 to 25mm longer than the opening. And simply put one in (hanging strip) and push it very frimly to one side & pop the other one in next to it. They’ll then ‘self centre’ and be perfectly OK.
