  • What do you use to clean ink from printer surfaces?

    Hi All,

I use Jetbest eco solvent inks and their cleaner/flush works very well to clean ink from any bare metal parts, but if I use it on painted or plastic parts it starts dissolving it!

Could anyone tell me what would be the best cleaning solution that wouldn’t attack these parts?
I bought some solvent cleaner suitable for UPVC windows which I thought would do the job, but apart from producing a sickly smell, did nothing to remove the ink!

    Any help would be appreciated!

Isopropyl alcohol cleans ink off quite well and doesn’t attack most surfaces.

Agreed. Also, you’ll be amazed at how good baby wiper are at cleaning ink off plastic panels!!

    Thanks for your replies,

I’ve just been trying isopropal in the spray form (used for contact cleaning as that’s all I could get hold of at the moment) and doesn’t seem to be doing much, must be doing something wrong?!
