Hi, we too use a Roland Sp300, 30 inch machine and we regularly use it to produce wraps without any real issues.

The overall quality of the finished wrap is perfectly acceptable and some of it is improved through careful planning and layout.

Dependent on the size of vehicle panels being wrapped sometimes through a little thought and care they can be wrapped in single pieces, alternatively if seems are joined well and designs etc are correctly aligned there shouldn’t be a problem.

We have never had any complaints due to seems, we just explain from the outset to the customer that wrapping is like "wallpapering" your vehicle.

Although am sure we would all like a larger machine the current economic climate does not allow it so we simply have to make the best of the machinery we currently have and i must say that we have never had any problems with our machine, very useful and versatile

    Hope all that helps
    cheers

This was done using a 30" Cadet.

Whilst not ideal – it can be done, and the seams are actually less noticeable than you would expect because of the print pattern. The downside is that using a 30" machine makes the job more difficult than it would be if using a single sheet to cover an entire side.

Hi phill, yes i would probably agree, i can imagine using a larger machine would ease things, however, it is probably easier to handle the media from a 30 inch machine rather than a 54 inch machine.

Saying that, if you did a vauxhall vivaro for example even with a larger machine you wouldn’t be able to cover a full side without any joints so i can’t always see the benefits of the larger machine…

These were also produced with a 30 inch machine…

    cheers
