Which vinyls are everyone using to manufacture motocross graphics? I have convex, but is there anything more high bond or with a thicker layer of adhesive?

thicker adhesive doesn’t equate to better.
convex is reputed to be one of the best for your needs.
    sorry not much help,

Hi Peter, I’m quite new to the motocross graphics side of things, could you possibly point me in the right direction as how to go about manufacturing these and which materials you would recommend to use?

I dont have a clue, I thought you did, just confirming that convex is recomended for motorcross stuff.
you may have to do quite a bit of research to compete with the companies that already supply these type of decals, it is not quite as easy as you may think

Thank you Peter, i am aware of two methods at this present moment in time. I can go the convex route on the edge or down the versacam route. I’m always interested to take advice from those more experienced.

You can use convex for digital and thermal as far as I know, and in both cases, laminate is recommended, although the edge prints will be more durable without, motorcross is one of the most hostile environments, as regards abrasion, and substrata (Polyprop)

From what I’ve read on forums in the states convex with that 12mil laminate is the sure fire way to go.

Sorry just re read this, I meant the edge prints will be more durable than inkjet if both are left unlaminated

We used the Convex with their laminate on 6 bikes this summer. The customer is really happy with them and they have lasted. WE have done temp ones on snowmobile s and bikes in 3M Comply, Avery EZ and 2010 with the instructions that it will not last. Of course it lasted just t fine so they think we are full of it 🙂

    Hey Jennifer,

What machine did you cut the convex on?
