it wont… its gerber…sadly i wont be using Gerber software for a few days… also see this
http://www.uksignboards.com/viewtopic.php?p=121660&highlight=prm#121660Gerber has there own PLT format.. which does not follow the trend of HPGL.. PRM something linked with Gerber software i think, might be a router line, not sure.

PLT tends to be hpgl plot file but the Gerber did have its own variation. Not heard of prm but I have heard of prn which is a print file (typo?) both of these formats will import into Signlab and Corel – prn would need to be postscript though.

Russ, a plt file is for gerber and a prm file is a file that is set up by the aforementioned for the different parameters thet the job was cut at. I you can post the plt file on here or pm me for my email address, i can open it for you and send it back as an eps file.

As was said before. PLT and PRM are gerber files. the PRM is usually a temp file saved when you output you file that carries all the information on the size/quantity/etc. I usually delete those from my system because if I ever cut it again, I usually don’t cut the same amount or use the same size material.
PRM might also be the file that you save your router files under as well using ArtPath software from Gerber. Can’t quite remember that one, but I delete those as well because of the same reasons.
