  • Weight to add to bottom of internal banner?

Posted by Graeme Speirs on 19 December 2006 at 11:43

    hi all,

I have a client who wants to add weight to the bottom of a small internal banner, they don’t want the pocket type idea more the Tye of thing which slides along the bottom of the edge of the banner like a binder you see on a folder..if that makes sense? Any ideas, oh and metal isn’t the best either cos they want to be able to get through the sensors at airports!!!! yes its one of THOSE clients.

    cheers

I can’t see why they are against a pocket along the bottom edge as this would be neat and hide whatever was used to weigh the banner down. But if they don’t want that sort of arrangement then it shouldn’t be difficult to attach a pole using the eyelets and something like zip ties. As for not using a metal pole a dowel pole should have enough weight in it. The metal pole probably won’t actually be a problem as they would not carry the banner through the metal detector at the airport, it would have to go on the belt scanner and I don’t think it is a problem having metal objects with this type of scanner.

Signwaves sell very nice poster clamps – good price and easy to fit – they just snap on like a snap frame. You could use them on a banner. Go to

    good luck,
