Water slide transfers
Posted by Mike Grant on 18 April 2005 at 16:51Does anyone know if waterslide transfers can be printed via a VersaCamm, or is this an entirely different ballgame. I have a customer who needs a small run done for some Dinky car type application, normal vinyl would not be suitable.
🙁

Hi Mike, I have been looking in to this recently, and now do it for a local model maker. There are two types depending on if you want white or not. One is inkjet printed and dries opaque the other is laser printed and dries clear. Not all laser printers work though. I am using the inkjet stuff and when it is put on you can varnish over the top and it then becomes clear.
You would need to ask the suppliers if the Versacamm works on the materials.

Hi Mike
If you have got a QMS 220DL have a look at The Magic Touch. The paper is DCT4.1/4.6
If you have any type of laser, give them a call. 01582 671444
