Hi All, first time on UKSB. A question for VX Gravograph computer machine users. I have acquired a couple of machines, VX2 and VX89, old but still very serviceable.
Does anyone know where I can obtain the floppy disc and hard disc fonts from?

Take it you have tried Gravograph already. Sorry not familiar with these, are they stand alone machines or do you require a computer as well? If you do just wondering what you were going to run them on as I would imagine they ran under windows 3.1, 95 or 98.

Hi Martin, thanks for your message. I have been waiting for someone to help me access the uksignboards forum.
The Gravograph VX machines operate from pre-PC type computers, either using a floppy disc to set up the programme and fonts for the earlier VX89’s and also floppy discs to set up the machines that also have a hard disc controller. I need to aquire either types of discs.
    All the best ………… Paul

As these machines are so old you may find there isn’t anyone running them as they were originally intended which is why I suggested contacting Gravograph.
The other option you have would be to see what can be salvaged from the original machines & then upgrade them by replacing some parts & then running something like mach3 or linuxcnc.
This is what I had to do with an old Gerber machine that I couldn’t find original parts for.
Depends on your level of expertise but it isn’t actually hard to do.
