VP540 – what temperature?
Got a mate running a VP540 at 50 on the temp. I’ve told him to back it off to about 40, on oracal.
Any thoughts?
I use the same material on the sc540, and 40 is perfect.
Any users give me an idea?

Hi Shane – are you talking about the ‘heater’ or the ‘dryer’ – I run my heater on 38-42 – because my front door opens into the room the printer is in, its on 42 at the moment… summertime 40 and that is while running aircon too. At 50 it will sometimes overheat on long print runs – not a good look if the print is 7/8 thru!! And I run the dryer 40 – 45 (45 at the moment)

Down here in sunny Melb we’ve got both cranked to 50 degrees.
That’s on our SP540 and don’t have a problem with it.

In our heat here, I reckon 40 is the magic number for the heater. He is having overheating issues, so I’m guessing lower heat is worth a try.

Chris don’t have a choice sometimes. In summer I’m fine dropping the heaters down. In winter I get a whole range of issues.
We’re moving our printer(s) upstairs next weekend where the temperature is more regulated. Down stairs we loose too much heat.
