Having used the vp300 & looked after it, it started to print unwanted lines halfway through a job, this happened other day on a job of what I thought was a eps file problem, as I tried something else & it printed fine, but it seems do be doing this all the time now & would anyone know what the possible problem could be, before I call out a engineer.

    Thankyou.

Try a manual clean of the area around the heads. The plastic fins that centres the heads over the docking station can build up filaments of dried ink that can contaminate your prints. Refer to the instruction manual for details of how to manually clean around the heads and docking station.

I hate to say it but that looks electrical. Maybe a printhead, cable or carriage board? They look too uniform to be scuffs on the media or anything like that. Try printing a big white box and see of it prints the same horizontal lines. If it does, I would get an engineer called if I were you. Sorry 🙁
