great ideas !!!!!
we’re liking the second one.
i reckon we can accomodate a load of those in here !! -
Good Ideas there. Quite like the 610mm ones. May make some space for one or two of those 😀
O bottom photo, I see pics from the TT in the background. The first one is at Ballaugh Bridge, reconise the rider but can’t for the life of me remember his name. Sorry for the hijack.

Posted this attachment years back following Robs demo. This is a template for a double sided rack (or the sides anyway) like Rob did, just cut in vinyl and jigsaw round it in MDF. We have 4 double sided ones mounted on bases with castors so we move things around for easy access
Cheers

good design, but if you want to stack 2 full rolls next to each other, then make sure you increase the distance between each slot, Rob designed these years ago, and assumed that most sign makers would never be able to afford to buy a full roll of vinyl 😉

:lol1: no i didnt, i said if you have a full roll you simply put it next to a roll thats been getting used. the only way it will become an issue is for two full, or almost full rolls to be put right next to each other on the rack.
what i also said was, "will anyone really have a full rack of full rolls that would create this problem?" don’t think so… 😉 -

Aha the racking nice one.
I had that idea a while back, but opted for under the bench storage in the end as there’s stacks of room there, and the racking would have pobably took my eye out.
Good thinking, I actually do have a load of that racking spare so may use it somewhere.
I still use a couple for all my masking and packing tape, its pretty versatile stuff.
Incidentally how much do you pay a length and for the brackets each? -
Steve,
The uprights were £25 for 10 @ 1400mm and the brackets were £13 for 10 @ 370mm from Screwfix. Works great! I’ve just done lots of painting and work to the workshop over the holidays and I’ve vowed to use my under-bench space more sensibly! I’ve got three benches and every single one had a mountain of utter junk beneath it! :lol1: Good intentions……… give it a few weeks and it’ll be the same.
Nick.

That’s not bad prices at all, we have a place here that is cheaper than trade and I think that the uprights were 2.4 metre lengths and were about 4 quid, and the large brackets were 480mm £1.79 each because I just looked its got a price on still (thats including vat)
If anyone’s ever in Cornwall or Newton Abbot go to Trago mills, its way cheap for stuff like that.
Having said that screwfix prices are excellent too, I got their new book today.
I got an Evolution rage sliding mitre saw, 300mm with laser for £149 delivered. :lol1: -

I got that same one just before Xmas, it’s the bee’s knee’s, cuts perfect through wood and aluminium (only things I’ve cut so far) and the laser is so convenient

If your anything like me, you will have selective hearing when she asks for the money 😀
I like the racking idea, I’ve loads of that lying about here somewhere, got it when they cleared out a local shop. So will maybe have a play over the next few weeks.
