Vinyl not cutting correctly, advice please?

I’d start looking at the simple obvious things.

carriage moving freely? blade rotating smoothly? no change made to blade offset or overcut settings in your software? or any settings on the cutter itself?

I have changed nothing. Other works have cut perfectly between this job.
Have just recut it still haven’t changed any settings and it is spot on. Maybe a bit cold in here this morning and the vinyl was to cold.

How much work has the blade done ? does it need replacing, beccause once you loose the edge of the blade cutters can do very strange things.

Only had it since November. Most probably not more than 100 meters and only normal vinyl or laminated for print and cut.

This happens to me when vinyl is loose on the mashine. Happens to the letter further away from the roller. Therefore I always cut bigger objects in the first line and then detailed work further down the roll where the vinyl roll will fall in the front basket and create a good tension.
Taping a off cut vinyl piece in the front before the mashine start also helps to have tension.

I agree that this is a hardware issue. It seems to me the pinch rollers are not clamping the vinyl correctly. Perhaps there is a small piece of vinyl stuck to the grit roller allowing the vinyl to ‘skid’ at certain points in the X-Y feed? Dunno, just an idea..

This may sound stupid but is your blade holder secure in the machine? Ours was loose one day and causing a very similar fault. Felt silly when I found it 🙁
