Vinyl into deep van recess – help please?
Hi we have a job on Monday to fit this blue stripe. It is a Mazda b2500 pickup.
Where the white line is, within the top blue stripe, is where the deep recess is, so I’m looking for a bit of advise.
Should I fit the strip as though the recess isnt there, and then heat the vinyl into the groove.
Please forgive my ignorance…Only ever done flat(ish) surfaces until now…

Danny – In theory yes your correct fit the stripe over the recess and heat gently whilst working in the vinyl, hard to say without seeing the vehicle how hard or difficult it is.
Needs to be done dry and with a good quality preferrably cast vinyl although rob swears by oracle calendared.
Search the boards there is loads of related topics.
Be prepared to have a couple of goes before getting the hang of it, good luck and post a pic when its done.

i agree with john here mate. though my calender choice oracal 751, is “now” a cast :lol1:
