Vinyl for sticking to carpet
Posted by Jason Middleton on 4 October 2011 at 16:10I have a customer who supplies cord carpets for tradeshows and he has asked if there is a vinyl that is suitable for to sticking to this, basically he is looking for a way to add his logo onto the carpet.
I don’t think vinyl would do it but thought I would just put this out there first.

Never come across a vinyl personally but I have seen companies that produce door type mats with your company logo on them, no idea what the process is sorry but do know that some sort of thing can be done.

Hi Jason, only way I know is to cut a logo in using a different coloured cord or velour carpet using 5mm mdf or foamex template but we used to do this on site. We have tried to silk screen but the bleed was too much and made them fuzzy

ASLAN do a digital print vinyl specifically for short pile carpet. I’ve got a sample yesterday.

what about flock or something along that line, just take an old iron along and stick it straight onto the carpet, but I suppose that depends on how detailed his logo is 😕

Initially I thought of flock but then wondered if there was a vinyl that would be suitable, as this would only really be for short term use.
Shane thanks for that I couldn’t get the link to load but tried searching on google and couldn’t seem to find that aslan product in the UK.

Have you tried a hi bond vinyl (LG and Hexis do them). Slightly different application, but I use this to put logos on racewear for photoshoots, where a test rider will test bikes for different mags, internet sites etc and they can have the relevant publication logo stuck on short term, removed, then the next logo put in place.
