    Hello,
I am considering the purchase of a vinyl cutter capable of cutting sandblast vinyl.
I have noticed that there are available several models that are considerably cheaper than the one I am contemplating (a Summa D60). For example Redsail Cutting Plotters from BaiCam Ltd and also a couple of models built in China.
Now call me old fashioned or over cautious but am I correct in thinking that "cheaper" may be a false economy 😮 .
It is possible of course that some of the cheaper alternatives may be good value but my gut reaction is spend that bit more and go for the Summa D60.
If anyone has tried any of the "budget" cutters I would appreciate your comments. In addition if anyone has experience of vinyl cutters considered to be the equal to or better than the Summa but at a similar cost your opinons would be valued.
    Regards,
    Mike Delta

Mike I would definatley stay clear of the budget cutters for heavy and regular use. Summa, graphtec, mutoh, and a few others are all up to the job. if you are near the nec next week, pop to signuk, and although its more a digital show nowadays, you will still see a range of plotters and you can compare how they are built etc.
