Whats the best method of removing the left over vinyl adhesive after removing decals from some clear acrylic. Im guessing something like meths or is there anything i can get from my local B&Q which is better?

    Advice appreciated

Tar & Glue remover you can buy it from most car specialists, widely used throughout the car valet industry.

simply soak the area that has the adhesive residue.
leave a few minutes, soak again but this time wipe as you apply and it will come off.

if the surface is caked in thick gunk adhesive. then soak it, leave, soak it again and using an old nylon squeegee, drag firm against the surface and wipe on to a rag.

after all, the adhesive is off, wipe down with meths or the like.

There are a number of products sold by most sign supply companies. Whatever you use, it is always a good idea to test a small piece of the acrylic to make sure that the remover doesnt react with it in any way.

Rapid Remover made by Rapid Tac.
    Then clean with alcohol.
    Or drink the alcohol.

Rapid Remover from Rapid Tac is really powerful but is very strong smelling, which can limit use when at a workplace.
I also use any Tar & Glue remover available from motor factors etc but it takes twice as long to work compared the Rapid Tac but is far far cheaper!
