viewing eps files in corel.
Posted by Hugh Potter on 8 January 2009 at 13:39hi,
am i right in thinking i can view eps files, ie browse a collection of clipart, with any part of corel 12?
i know i can simply import, but i need to see them as most files i have are not names, just numbers!
thanks.

If you use photoshop (a version with bridge) you can view them in that.
or download an eps viewer. -
just googled ‘EPS viewer’ and loads of free ones came up including this…

thanks Ian but it needs to be on my system, i have thousands of eps clipart images, well into 5 figures, i rarely use them but when i want something…!

The best prog i’ve had on my pc was paint shop pro, i bought it on offer about 5 years ago but have lost all the discs / box, i can’t download anymore trials, the sneaky buggers have obviously got a tracker i can’t find / remove and it knows i’ve had the trial -all of them- already!
psp reads about everything, you can browse whole pages of eps files at once and very quickly too (adobe bridge seemed to be slow in comparison) , also has the best screen capture method of any prog i’ve used. suppose i’ll go buy it again!
thanks all.

Try the ‘Recent files’ plug in for Corel Draw it will display a thumbnail for eps files and many others. It can replace (original open save optionsa still available) the open/save options but with far more usability. Free Download from http://recentfiles.netfirms.com/ the author is a talented chap who has written many macros etc for Draw, more of his work and others at http://www.macromonster.com
