Has anyone recently carried out Service Pack 3 on Windows XP, and had problems with the Versaworks software, since I did the update, when I send a job from Signlab to RolandVW printer, and then adjust the print size to that just over the sign size, the preview image has the sign chopped in to A4 page sizes, its not the file, as I have used it many times before, if I export the file as a EPS, and drag in to the Versaworks job list, its OK.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

I don’t know if this problem relates directly to SP3 but I just updated Versaworks online and now Versaworks just crashes immediately when I try to open it.

I have had SP3 installed for over a month now with no issues but the latest Versaworks update has really messed things up!

    Can anyone help? Thanks, Owen

I have since spoken to both Cadlink & Roland, and have come up with the theory that its the windows print driver, I have always used this method to output from Signlab to Versaworks, so have now changed my method to work around this issue by saving any work as an eps, and dragging this into versaworks…. works ok, just a different way to my normal workflow.

Just goes to show there are so many different ways to skin a cat.

The way I do it from SL is to send the EPS to the Versaworks Input file, Input-A or Input-B, will work even if Versaworks is not open, will be there when you open it.

    Thanks for the reply…

Maybe there was a problem with the update. I had to remove and reinstall versaworks to get some jobs out yesterday but I’ll have another go at the Versaworks 3 update today.
