Versaworks, VS-640 and EPS Cutting Issues.
I have a problem that I have had ever since I first got the VS-640 and it is that on any artwork generated within Illustrator (CS5) that has a fade as part of the artwork Versaworks simply refuses to ‘see’ the cutline?
I have to save two files, one with the cutline on it’s own and one with everything. It is getting quite annoying and I would love to know if there is a fix for this.

I had that problem too with VersaWorks. It’s to do with transparencies and spot colours. I found that by locking the cut path layer, then flattening all transparencies, it would solve the problem.

Johns answer sounds good – just a thought is it the fade hiding some of the cut line and if so would moving the cut line to the top layer solve the problem also??
