In Wasatch (which I think is related to versaworks) you have to have the "Process cutting paths" box checked when you open the file otherwise it does not recognise the cut path. Versaworks may be the same?

    Few things to try

    flatten transparency

if there is an imported photoshop image, it should have been flattened in photoshop fiest

try just the cut line on its own see if that works, and if it gives the marching ants
then the rest of the file is the problem

rasterize the file, then put the cutline back on

is the cut path correctly named : CutPath and is it a spot colour

    try saving as a pdf

    Hi
as well as using hairline it must also be correctly named "CutContour", you can double click on either file icon A/B on the VW home page which allows you into default settings. Go to cutting page and tick check "Cut all Paths" this will then cut all stroke paths which is a pain if you have strokes in your design but does not need the path to be called CutContour

    Hope this helps

    thanks friends,

Kevin, the outline is correctly named "CutContour" with spot color and
l’ve been using this for three years now, not a single problem like this.
I tried to open versaworks as admin and its works, marching ants appeared
but if l open versaworks the normal way it goes off again, weird.. any ideas
    so far?

I think you may have deselected "process cutting paths". Make sure this is selected before you open the file

    All solved, thanks guys.
I sorted it by reinstalling Versaworks as admin.
