Versacamm to either cut or perforate paper
Evening all,
Anyone know if its possible to perforate or cut poster paper on the versacamm? I’ve been looking at a craft robo cutter to cut out little fridge magnet inserts and thought it might be possible on the machine we already own, any ideas anyone?

or do any of the suppliers do a non adhesive media on a carrier, that can contour cut then "peeled" from the backing?

Hi Any,
Either as Phil says or you can buy a bit of software on the Signlab for Versaworks package that cuts through the paper or backing sheet for kiss cut / perforated images.

Versaworks 3 has flex cut in the software, but it doesn’t work that well with the print cut machines due to the type of cutting strips. Would probably cost more in blades than time saved.

i tried this a few days ago on my sp300. i cut poster paper using 150gf with 2 cut passes and using illustrator i cut the cut contour line in a few places and left gaps so after the job i could just pop it out. worked great!!!!!! i have also heard you can get a backing to apply your chosen media on top and then do the procedure!! hope it helps 🙂
