    Hello Guys,
i am having a moment with my love hate relationship with static cling!! Sometimes it prints fine and at other times I cannot get a result at all!! I am using the same profiles and temps etc!! Could anyone shed any light on this problem?? I have loads to do this week and am wasting lots of cling and pulling my hair out!!

    When printing static cling:
what temperatures do you use & what profiles.

    thanks

    Dan

don’t quit no how to tell you this but.

its not suitable for printing as the ink stays on the window after its been on for a while.
also there spec sheet says no as well

spandex ended up crediting this roll i have here.

    sorry

    Hi Dan,

We had problems with the stuff from Europoint (Penstick brand) and ended up printing onto removable clear and backing in white – works a treat and sticks better in cold weather

    Hi guys,
Andy I have resorted to that before as well and think i will have to get rid of the stock we have!!

Chris – i have downloaded the spandex digital product guide from the uk site and on page 20 "Digital media range ink compatibility" there is a tick in the eco-solvent cell?
    did they tell you verbally?

    thanks for your time!!

i asked for some film and yhey sent me this material, i started to use it.
for small stuff 100mmsq no big areas of ink and it was fine, but noticed that ink was left on the window after a few days.

i had a job to do some 3x2ft with large letters and the print quality was rubbish not good enough to sell.
rang them with complaints and they returned that the product was for printing on but the printed surface was not to go against the window.
the credited the roll as useless for the job.

the only image perfect material that has failed me.

    Hi chris,
spandex spain has just replied stating that Ip2907 is not for use with roland printers as it is too thick and roland heaters do not have enough power to dry the inks!!

thanks for your help! Any ideas on one that does work? I have tried to print on clear vinyl and place onto IP2907 and the customer has returned them to us, and in fairness they look awful!!

    regards

    Dan
