I have a Versacamm VP540 which isn’t used much. It’s always left on at the mains. This morning when I turned it on I got a message suggesting the Magenta head is completely blocked. I have tried gently cleaning the head with cleaning solvent and then soaking the capping unit and leaving the head over it for a few hours. Nothing seems to be making any difference. Any ideas?

    If it were me,

in order I would try….soak the head, suspend the head in an ultrasonic bath while flushing with cleaning fluid or ultimately replace the head.

As you know solvent machines like to be used.

    best of luck.

Problem is sorted. Turns out the magenta ink had run out in the middle of doing a periodic clean overnight. The message was definitely suggesting to me a major print head problem (“Press the power key to clean” – in a loop). Anyway, many thanks to Colin Tupman, Roland engineer at Cetech who heard the beeping over the phone and immediately told me the problem.
