Verdana Font
Posted by Stacey Clinch on 8 August 2005 at 14:49Hiya Everyone
I was just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get the Verdana Font which is compatible with the Omega software.
Spandex was as helpful as a chocolate tea-pot!!! 🙄

huh? Verdana is a typical windows font, most commonly used for designing web pages. In fact, this webpage is made up in Verdana (if it is on your harddrive, if not a substitue is used)

Yes, Verdana is bundled with just about every Microsoft Product.
I googled and found this link http://simplythebest.net/fonts/fonts/verdana.html

Hi
Thanks for such a quick response, I have got Verdana as a True Type Font, but unfortunately I cannot use that type of font in my software as I think it needs to be a gsf. format!!
I have been trying different options and I have found that I can import the written text from CorelDraw into Omega but that is going to be very time-consuming as I will have to use this font on a daily basis now!!!
So if anyone knows of how to get hold of this font in a gsf format I would very much appreciate it.
I have tried searching the net but nothing so far!
Cheers

Are you sure you can’t use ttf fonts in Omega? That would surely make Omega a unique piece of software in today’s environment.

try googling convert ttf to gsf
This is one link that came up http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/ seems to be a converter that may do the trick.

Thanks to this forum – I have managed to crack the problem!!!
You were right in saying that there was a converter locked away in Omega!
Don’t I feel an idiot now!!! 😳
Thanks for all the responses.
