  • Velcro – Attaching a sign to material display boards

    Hiya

Can anyone advise me on Velcro (on a roll)??

I need to attach some 2mm foamboard (1m x 3m) to a material covered display board.
I was going to use some 25mm Velcro strips to attach it as it is only going to be in place for 1 day.

Can anyone advise me if this will be strong enough to keep it in position as I’ve never used Velcro on signs before….so not sure how much I will need to use.
I’ve got 27 panels @ 1m x 3m to fit – would I be better sticking strips of 150mm along the edge of the board, or full strips??
HELP!! I am completely clueless on this one!

    Thanks

Stacey you might be best with large diameter velcro coins which you can get from UK point of sale i think (?)

2mm foamex isn’t very heavy so depending on which diameter ones you get you might not need as much as you think and will give a better spread
of contact rather than strips as the board will flex quite a bit.

Hope that helps a wee bit.

3 vertical strips full length will do the job. You may need a couple of small tabs in between on the short edges to stop them from bowing out.
