I am looking to go on a vehicle wrapping course and was wondering if anyone knows of any courses & costs? I live in the North West and don’t really want to travel hours and hours.
I have received the knew grafityp magazine and they have got a course in there so might give them a ring and see how much there’s is.

Maybe tempted with subscribing, not sure which package to go with yet though.
How much is the course people are looking at?

I have just been on the Victory wrapping course and was very impressed I thought at the low price that it is it would just get me the basics. But was very impressed with what we learned, there was 15 minutes theory the rest was hand on. The vehicle we wrapped was bedford rascal lovely compounds panels to test you. fantastic value for money and the food for lunch was also good.

    Hi,

Me and partner have both been on the vehicle wrap course at the roland academy in wallsall.

James the trainer is fantastic and the whole day is generally very good. I would suggest you limit the group to no more then 6 people, that gives you 3 on each motor.

James talks about different media and often wraps one van in Grafftyp and the other in Oracle….

I found the oracles medium to be very hard to work with, where as the Graffityp was very easy to work with.

James will teach you loads of tricks and tips.

My advice would be just as soon as you get back from the course you get some media and get wrapping….Also take into consideration that if you do not have internal facilities to place vehicles to wrap or are not moving into a place that doesnt have internal facilities then I would think twice about going on this course as James will advice you have a clean surgery type environment to wrap in…..

Having said that though its not entirely true…..Just yesterday me and my partner half wrap a MWB renault master in the wind under a tree with leaves falling off and we got an all around good finish.

I would also ring Graffityp and see if they still offer the two places fro £550 that they did last year….Excellent value for money.

    Mathew.

I’ve just done a 2 day course at Spandex in Bristol at a cost of £350 for 2 days. It was a very informative course and ran in conjunction with Avery and ast signs who I believe are in Manchester.

bit concerned at only 15 minutes theory though, the theory is just as important as the practical work,

Pete I know you told me at the show not to go on a course with more than 4 people but we had 8 on the course at Spandex. However we had 2 cars an 05 Passat and a 55 face lift model both having very different contours, there were also 2 van side doors fixed to a frame with different contours

Garreth from ast ran the course and we also had 2 staff from Spandex. after about one and a half hrs theory we were hands on with tuition throughout, great light lunch included.

Day 2 we completely wrapped the 2 cars working in pairs again with help when needed, we also covered trimming and post heating on day 2.

Well worth the money and as I live in Bristol, great location.

    Hi Matt

Happy to answer any questions you may have Re course we also train with Metamark and other films which I believe makes ours unique eg no 1 film is pushed also Re ‘outdoor wrapping’ only for the brave ! I teach best case scenario temp and dust can effect long term finish. I am sure Rob will fill you in on how UKSB can help.
