Vehicle Outline Templates, help sourcing the software?
Posted by Dan on 8 March 2021 at 11:41Who is does these now?
If I recall, Brian went to another country or something so not sure what happened and could do with an update.I have been manually making my templates but when a customer wants a quick mockup it’s easier to use the outlines.
Thanks

I think Silverskies did these also but looks like their website is down.
Signmaster does it too.
https://www.signmaster.co.uk/hardware_item/impact-vehicle-outline-library/definitely worth the money.

I only use the genuine Impact vehicle outline software. I’ve been using it for over 20+ years.
Brian Hays is the creator of the original. He used to work for Cadlink / Signlab and started doing this Software after he moved on.
There are lots of copy versions but they tend to be American cars, bikes, motorhomes, etc. they are also named using European versions of the cars.
e.g.. Instead of Vauxhall, it is listed as Opel.Brian Has indeed moved to Australia but he still creates the software and it is distributed by vendors such as Sign Master Systems as suggested by Jeff, above.
Also, be wary of some vehicle software named very similar to Impacts, but are not the same one and from what I have heard, are not as accurate. Accuracy is a very important part of this type of software also. some are close, others miles out. some require you to scale them up too. i prefer to just open them and they are sized and ready for designing.

Thanks for that, is the https://www.vehicleoutlines.co.uk the correct one?
I’ve ordered from them yesterday and questioned the rebrand etc but they had all my details on file.
I even questioned that i.e. Sign Master had the old image and they just rebranded and it’s an old image. -

My Impact software is pretty old but it is the same one Jeff posted.

I have the 2020 Impact disc and catalogue and they have the new branding on them as Dan posted.
