Vehicle Graphics: Smart Car Wrap full colour change
Done last Saturday, KPMF VWS film, used because of its good deep pigment,
James Deacon was a helpful assistant, and advisor.We got most of it done in 4 hours
(BTW Rob I found the catch to remove the bonnet )

Peter ide find bloody Lord Lucan quicker than i could find that bonnet catch.
as you know i gave up… i also gave up removing the wing mirrors because i had completely dismantled and could release a little catch inside and thought it might break. so thought bugger it… and left them on. i wasted so much time with the mirrors and bonnet catch it was unreal. 😕 that was my first smart car so i kinda expected some things would slow me up. the fitting was pretty straight forward though…How did you find the KPMF? its a pretty good vinyl to work with because it has a nice shine/finish to it and because it is pretty thick, it makes handling easier to manage. However, i found colours whitened. (navy and red) when stretched into sharp recesses and i wasnt too confident about them staying there…
heard some horror stories on removing the vinyl too and it leaving masses of glue. saying that, ide like to think that was a batch issue and has been resolved. 🙄 -
Rob the colour was pretty good and no noticable fading when stretched,
I would think that it could be easily shattered though in a cool atmosphere.Wing mirrors were easy to remove, just need to use a small screw driver to release the catch holding the adjuster;
Bonnet catches are well disguised, but if you look closely they are the top two "x" patterns in the grill, just push them in

i was stood next to that smart car i wrapped today actually. wished i could have looked then. its bugging me now :lol1:good to hear james is working with you again… best way for it i think.

Hi all
so they have tried to give the CASH COWS a new look they have come in for some heavy criticism in the papers & from residents around here. Hence the name they was given when they were black & white. Parking illegally themselves whilst nicking other people, Disable bays, across drives etc, you always seem to find them sat somewhere stuffing their face or reading a paper & normally in an area where there is easy targets. Meanwhile outside the local schools etc where mayhem is the parking standard making the roads impassable you never see them. One of them was actually attacked whilst the operators where inside there is so much ill feeling against these things. Well they will be easier to spot now.Nice job Peter
