Looks OK to me Ian although I would have thought it a bit of a waste of time sponsoring a rally car. They spend most of their life covered in mud and dirt don’t they so sponsors names are hard to see :lol1:
Hope you remembered to put your name underneath for when they flip it over 🙄

Thanks for the replies

Unfortunately I’m a rally nut, I do a bit of navigating in rallies so although i know it doesn’t pay to sponsor, My head keeps convincing me other ways. :lol1:
Rallying is a big thing in Ireland, This car is 8 years old and still cost £168,000.00. Try driving it flat out down a road and have that figure in the back of your head, I’d be doing 10mph and cry if i hit it :lol1:
We do a lot of rally cars, i will post some more soon

Ian, nice work on the rally car, have a yellow mark 2 escort to do at the weekend, any ideas for a dynamic design for this? Dont want to do the normal. Pics would be good if you had any.

Got your pm Harry, just waiting for Rob to sort out so I can reply to you! I have images of the side and roof for the mk2 if that’s any help?

Harry,
I love rallying in Mark 2’s but hate liverying them. there is very little you can do with them as the arches are usually very rough etc.
try http://www.crspics.com This is Seamus Coughains website and has some very tidy Mark 2’s on it.
the old Rothams changed slightly would work well on a M2.
http://www.photographeronthe.net/rallygallery/ … 3210&path=\Image%20Library\Ford\Escort%20MKI%20and%20MKII&pid=382I have tried to put modern designs on them but have never been happy with the results. old stlye suits best
PS. If doing a rally car, try to convince them not to put phone numbers on them,as they always turn out S**T looking. you can do something nice with a name but it’s impossible to do it with a number.

Thanks for those handy links Ian, you are right, there isnt much scope on the Mark 2 but my god, their owners think more of them than their children 😀 😀

espically Monaghan ones :lol1:
😀 😀 they are quite a bunch, the guy who owns this car told me once that he was getting the baby taxed…..which was a none to subtle metaphor for it’s baptism!!!! and constantly refers to the ladies as having a fine chasis or pulling a big trailer!!! He’s quite the charmer 😀 😀
That was my customer said that, girls….not me!

not much different 18 miles up the road,
I’m just outside Markethill if your ever stuck by the way. Were in Monaghan are you based
