Nothing exciting about this van, it’s just that I have been trying some different techniques found on this site.

Rob’s video’s came in handy when applying the Peugeot logo, made it a lot easier than I imagined. Logo was made up in the shop with registration marks (will make them a bit bigger next time) used some window etch vinyl to give a drop shadow effect. All applied dry using felt squeege, this is the way I had been doing it before joining here (at last something I was doing right)

Van had been polished so I cleaned with grafislip until wipes were clean and then with meths which was surprising how much more this removed.

I tried tearing off the backing paper, but found paper fibres jumping onto the vinyl, so I will stick with cutting.

The van layout was more customer choice than mine, I did 5 other designs, but they insisted on the phone numbers and the positioning.

The only problem I had was the door shut line was wider than expected, the side shown is 4mm wider than the other, so thing were moved slightly. Not a good advert for Peugeot build quality.

Thanks everyone for all the invaluable advice and tips, it really helps a newbie like me. the only problem is anything I show will have to be better than the last

    Cheers
    Michael

    Looks good,
but don’t like the way all the text goes over the door

No, I did try, but not needed. I did a window cleaners transit last week and they didn’t want a phone number on it 😮
Changed their mind in the end.

I agree Simon, but I had to fit everything into a certain space (customer said it would be easier to remove (?) ) and try to make it look good.

I wasn’t sure about the design myself, but it looks better applied than it did on the computer screen.
