well i decided to have a bash at sorting out a decal for my motor.

thought it turned out not to bad. i like it myself.

altho can seem to do realy small stuff as little dots of vinyl that need to stay on come off during the weeding process 🙁 heh.

oh also forgot a small it when weeding and had to end up weeding it when it was on the window.

    slowly learning.

anyway heres how it turned out.

as you’ve found out mate, it takes a while to get things right, just keep at it and you’ll find easier ways ofr getting the results you want,

weeding on the final surface can be easier sometimes, or even weeding when it’s on the app paper.

    best of luck !

It’s been a few years since I’ve cut and applied vinyl, but I use to sometimes copy some of the line art over to the side for some of the smaller elements. I used these as replacement parts in case some of the smaller items became damaged or didn’t weed right (for example the dot on an "i"). I would usually lift the dot out from my spare parts section with an exacto blade and it’s pretty easy to line back up on the plastic with the rest of the artwork that weeded ok using the slight indentations made in the plastic from the blade. Usually there’s no problem with air bubbles either because the vinyl is small enough not to have that problem. Beware if the spares are to large there is a chance of bubbling or stretching the vinyl though. The more you do it the more you’ll find out your own little tricks to finish your sign though. Good Luck!

    Hi Cams
Keep at it. It will take time to perfect but so far seems to me you are doing fine!
