oh cool…they all look fun to have designed and done…is that a wall wrap?
-
they all look pretty good I love the wall what material did you use ?

Thanks all!
@Lynn & Cheryl, yep it’s a 3M digital wallwrap material, it’s great stuff – we have it on an interior wrap in our office as well! 🙂
-
The wraps look great as does the wall. Only thing I will criticize is the material used for the sign above the wall wrap isn’t suitable to the installation method used, as it’s causing warping.

I thought you might not have as it doesn’t look like the same hand/eye has done it.

Nice to see some fresh younger-feeling layouts.
Only crits would be some contrast issues and a bit text heavy
(but I’m sure it was the client requesting two phone #s and the street address)
I admire your creativity, it’s refreshing to see that you are not some boy racer.
Off to put in my dentures and shake my fist at all the young whippersnappers.
Love…..Jill -
I wonder about people sometimes, that wall wrap looks really good and I am guessing it wasn’t cheap so why would the customer want to keep the cheap naff foamex sign which detracts from an other wise superb job.
-
Thanks for all the comments guys – we appreciate it!
Companies don’t like hiring youngsters much, but there’s sometimes diamonds in the coal, or some other (better) turn of phrase!
@Jill, haha yeah the customer gets what the customer wants! I’m not a boy racer, I drive a Laguna!
@Martin, I agree, I even had a fresher new logotype in the wall graphic but she wanted it taken out… nevermind – the wall still looks great!
Here’s an image of the Wall Wrap inside aswell – same material, just un-laminated for the inside!

Chris, I can understand her not wanting to change the logo. If she feels that people know who they are then a complete change might have worried her that people would think it was different owners but not to change the board for something that was more fitting with the rest of the building is a real shame.

Looks like Radecal are on Signboards haha good for the picture…..
Looking good guys.

Great stuff Chris!
Love the design of the car wraps.
How long have you been working in this industry? -

Great stuff Chris. Well impressed witht he wall wrap. Do you mind me asking what sort of time scale and cost is involved ie what you paid for the material and what you charged? and what is the lifespan of the material.

Hi Chris, just saw some more photos from Twitter. Excellent stuff and a start on a new market. Wrapping on cars, vans etc has taken off, I am sure wall wraps are the next big thing.
You see murals and trompe l’oeil done by artists (I have done some :)) which are time consuming. I can see a great opening here.

Cheers for the comments chaps!

Do you mind me asking what sort of time scale and cost is involved ie what you paid for the material and what you charged? and what is the lifespan of the material. It costs us about £250 for a 25 metre roll and x2 that for the laminate, we’d probably make about 60-70% depending on the size of the job – the Valley Nursery job took our chaps about 2-3 days weather permitting – they have to seal the wall with glue first!

How long have you been working in this industry? Thanks alot Simon – I try my best! I’ve been Designing for about 8/9 years – started at home when I was about 14 doing sigs and stuff, kinda just went from there – been doing artwork for signs and vehicles for about 2 1/2 years now!

Yeah they seem to be picking up – it’s alot of money but the more people see them the more people want them!

Hi Chris,
you mentioned that you had to seal the wall? what was the reason for this?
also what did you seal it with?
Does this also apply for in your office as im looking to do something like this over christmas when im bored! ha!
Cheers Ben

Ben, you could probably do your office walls a bit cheaper by just doing normal prints mounted on to something like hoarding board, that way you could also change the walls about from time to time as well :lol1:
I did one wall that way in the unit I use to have, mind you that was before the wall paper type vinyls were on the market. Each panel was different and if people came in after you had moved them about you could see them looking, they knew something was different but they couldn’t figure out what it was :lol1:

Hi Ben, it was sealed with a PvA glue waterproof wall sealant from B&Q, just to add more water protection for the vinyl. The interior wall doesn’t have this and doesn’t need it (unless it starts raining in the unit…) Martin I just had a vision of one of those kids toys where you have to move the pieces to make the picture :lol1:
