Hope you didn’t have to fit that outside in that weather.
    I like it.

    Nice job Lee 😀

I don’t normally do this, but this is so similar to what I’ve been working on today its scary. You know the bit where the paint is being brushed on? I would’ve carried that across the van, put the company name in it and enlarge the cartoony bloke so he was the full height of the van. A bit more difficult to fit, but I think it would’ve really added something whilst keeping with the same design sort of. I don’t know if you can classify this as constructive critism and I’ve hesitated here, just the way I would’ve done it.

😳 I’m buying your pints all day at SignUK now aren’t I Lee? :lol1:

    Cheers, Dewi

Nice and tidy job there. Im doing a job myself next week but dont like the guy i have in vector, see jpeg. I was looking at a guy out of the phone book and the guy you have there seems to be exactly like him. My guy has a big happy head and customer would rather see the back of him Would it be possible to get a vector ai off of you of the man please. Email is proimagesignworx@eircom.net PS. Design not finished yet.

    thanks
    james

You see i was never fond of the guy i had on the van, i just put it there to get a feel off the customer as to if i was on the right track design wise. I had full intentions of changing him and was going to redraw the guy from the phone book but seeming as someone already has exactly what im looking for it would save me an hour

    Hi All

Thanks for the encouragement. I just feel that I’m not in the same league as a lot of you on the boards.

As far as the design goes Dewi, I like your idea but my problem is that the customer wanted to stay with what he had on the last van. We got him round to having some sort of graphic on it. Found the painter and he liked it. Next was the colouring of the vinyls. We had to do a couple of the letters in various colour combo’s and he just flipped when he saw the silver on maroon. Overall result, he liked it.

Main thing is Lee, the customer liked it and you’ve done a good job of it 😀 Just me being a smart ar$e as per usual 😳 There’s always different ways of tackling a job, but its the customer who dictates whats going on his van at the end of the day.

Still can’t get over you fitting a wagon in this weather though, even I’m not that nuts, I’ve been sat next to the calor gas fire all day shivering like a bit northern jessie :lol1:

    Tidy job Lee.

I find that if I offer tradesmen anything really smart they turn it down in favour of the most basic layout. Dunno why.

I’ve just spent 8 hours non-stop in the bloody snow lettering a 20′ catering trailer. So that makes me rock hard and Dewi a soft northern handbag.

Sorry to disappoint you all………….but the work was done in a centrally heated unit……nice and warm. Got the van outside, went and got the camera and by then it had started to snow.

I’m not denying it Big G, I’ll be a soft Northern handbag, you suffer with some frost bite and a head cold for a fortnight 😉 Did you get any pics of the trailer?

I haven’t finished it yet, but I hope to take some on Friday when it’s done. Bit of an odd one, they want it to look like a tram!

You’ll know what I mean when I get some pics taken.

(No, it isn’t taking 3 days, I’ve got to go to bloody London tomorrow, man I hate London!)

Edit: You’re on Nik, you should see my right arm! 😮

Ok, I’d like to offer 5 – 2 odds on me beating Big G in an arm wrestle, but can anyone offer me 16 – 1 for a £100 on me losing? 🙄

    Cheers, Dewi
