The Vito looks good but was the logo meant to overlap the edges on the sprinter?

jeeeeeeeez how long did that take? nice job there wardie, cant tel on my screen properly as had a long day at the pooter but what colour is the big circle? have you cut the letters out of the circle or applied over it? also how many section did it take to do the circle? very very nice indeed, any chance of asking only ballpark here but what kinda price would you go in at on something like that? ish 😛

Jayne, the sprinter is meant to be cropped. The vito would have been cropped, but the vehicle was a swb.So the height of the logo was determined by its width.

Rob.The letters were cut out of the circle. The Sprinter was in 3 bits, the Vito in 2.Took about 8 hours to fit the Sprinter & 5 Hours to do the Vito. Did the Sprinter for £850 & the Vito for £600.

did you not find fitting it into the recesses spread any of the cut out letters at all? probably not, just kinda forward thinking or trying to??? you fit it in 3 verticaL strips? either way very nice job, sorry to ask stupid questions just really curious thats all 😳

    Very nice,
did you “feed” the graphic into the recesses, or heat/stretch them in?

Just wondered as sprinters ar notorius for “popping” vinyl in the panel recesses,

Peter, I cut the vinyl down the middle, where it went over the recess. Then folded (fed) into the recess. Then cut the vinyl again in the folds & patched in stripes. So even when you look close its hard to notice joins. Then just went round with the heat gun, just to make sure it was stuck.

Rob, just spotted your second post.I always work on the flat areas first. As if the vehicle had no recesses. Then once all three sections are in place, just cut, feed into the recesses & patch up.

Like you suggested, if you were to go into the recesses while fitting, this would “distort” the image.
