Ive done friends vans in the past but never actually done it for a customer until now. The design isn’t something I had any real say over, the brief I was given was to make them look the same as all the other vans in the fleet, and if I did a good job I would get 25 vans a year from the company.

I did the Vivaro wet, and the Transit dry, it will be ry as much as possible for me now.

Looks like your on your way to 25 vans a year. Fitting looks top notch from the pics.

    Keep up the good work.

Be confident in applying dry. It will save you a lot of time. Do you use magnets or tape when aligning graphics?

Thanks very much, I was quite pleased for the first attempt.

I used wide masking tape then it acted as a hinge from the top of the lettering.

I would persuade them to actually make the lettering smaller on the other 25 so that it doesn’t looked so crammed in.

nice work Paul, when you get more used to them perhaps you will have some input in future vans, all ways more satisfying when you have had input.

as mentioned bit tight to the edges for my liking, did you cut from the drawings or measure the panels.

well done and roll on the 25th one

Well done, 1st of many. Only one small crit, just because the space is there you don’t have to use it.

I set the layout up using IVL then measured the vans for exact measurements. I had mentioned how cluttered it would look to the customer as he only just added Plumbing and Electrical to these vans (its not on the others) but they were very specific about what they wanted.

yeah, good job. I can only agree with what has already been said, there’s not enough negative space. I also think the telephone number is far too big.
But otherwise I think it’s a great job, the fitting looks good! 😀

    Well done Paul.

Whist I agree about the negative space, or lack of, end of the day if you followed your brief and the customer was happy, then your going to keep in sweet with your client, and you’ll be kept busy with 2 vans a month.

I hope you charged enough though.

Applying dry is a good thing too. I also hinge with wide tape. Its fast and easy, with the added benefit that its a safe way to do it. Measure twice, stick once is my moto . 😎

    Thanks for sharing
