UV Print Quality, is it really that good?
Guys
I wanted to share the following pictures of a job we recently did for a trade exhibition client…These are large 2.4m wide canvas prints that were hand stretched by our client.
Ever since I’ve been in the field of wide format printing there has always been this massive debate amongst people in the field that UV printing isn’t as good as other printers and ink sets.
I run everything from UV, latex, Solvent & Eco Solvent so have a pretty good back ground and get to see all kinds of prints jobs daily.
The examples seen in the images have been printed on a high quality print, not the highest in fact but two modes below the highest…
What amazed me was the quality of these prints, If I hadn’t printed these myself I would honestly have thought these came off a Latex or Eco Solvent Printer…
The quality was absolutely fantastic there was no banding or UV glossing like you see in most UV prints.
If you as sad as me and walk around shopping centres and supermarkets touching and feeling prints then you can probably relate to the normal quality you get from a UV machine.
I wanted to post this as I want users to see that UV has come along way and that the fact that its gives quality as high as any other machine is simply amazing.
So the next time someone tells you UV is not as great as other technologies tell them to buy a better machine, or show them this post.
