    Hi all,

    I am after an aerosol UV Laminate for some Decals i am printing. I only have an Encad 1000i which i am using to Print onto White vinyl. Just need to over laminate and wondered what the Aerosols are like as an alternative and where could i get one from as HYAZ do one from the states but i could do with getting one from UK soon as.

    Needs to be UV protecting and waterproof

    Any suggestions

    Here you go mate, frog juice;

    Not as durable as an overlaminate film but would add some further durability over just printed vinyl on its own.

    lee i hope these stickers are of no value as i think you will be disappointed with the frog juice on water based print vinyls.
    from experience a over sized laminated is good.

    Go for the frog juice, i use it all the time here from small right to the large prints, and the uv stability is excellent, i have used on edge and inkjet prints. (dont forget to leave the ink at least over night before spraying)

    Hi Lee,
    You can also try ClearJet by Landor (UK) Ltd, aerosol and roller application.

    Tel: 01252 624 411

    I have just started to use their ClearStar Waterbased UV Protective Coating in Semi Gloss for my PC-600 printed decals, this I apply with a roller and I am getting great results…If you speak with Lynn, ask for a sample to try.

    Cheers

    forgive me but isn’t the encad an aqueous ink? and isn’t frog jiuce water based too? (not used it for years)

    Golden rule is not to use waterbased liquid laminate over waterbased inks.

    Solvent laminate over waterbased inks, Waterbased laminate over solvent inks is the rule of thumb.

    AS I say, not used frog juice for 10 years so I may have that wrong. No offense meant.

    Not Bad just tried it and made my prints more satin than glossy but very water resistant though. Not bad only £8.50 a can
