  • using flexcut with summa 120 & winplot

    Hi all,

After 12 years of continuous use, my Roland 24inch plotter broke down.
Whilst I will have it repaired, I took the plunge and bought a summacut 120.

I have been trying to use the flexcut feature, but cannot get it to work. If I set it to "ON" in the plotter, it flex cuts EVERTHING I send to it – If I swtich it to "off" it is supposed to cut just my red lines, but it doesn’t…..

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Hi Clive,

make sure you use CMYK red and not RGB.

Before I forget. In Winplot (latest download version on the summa website) before you send the job to the cutter, there is an option to "FlexCut all red lines". These red lines are CMYK red. Also make sure FlexCut is swithed OFF on the plotter as otherwise all cut lines will be cut with FlexCut.
