Urgent font needed: Helvetica Neue
Can anyone help me with an urgent font request. I have recieved artwork form a customer who needs the signs by Monday morning but she only has a pdf file, unfortunately she cant get hold of the missing fonts as the studio are “out” 😕
I desperately need Helvetica Neue Heavy and Helvetica Neue Medium

To be honest having looked at the pdf Id say that Helvetica medium and Bold would be fine if anyone has them, strangely it was afont I used to use alot when I first started in this trade and now I never use it! and I dont have Helvetica on my pc 😕

I’m sorry Jane, I haven’t got either.
I’ve looked at some of the free sites, there a loads of helvetica’s but none are free from what I can see.

Posted the above, then got out a disk I haven’t looked at since I bought it, and found several Helvetica’s. Have put up medium-doesn’t say ‘neue’, so may be wrong one…..

Hm. Helvectiva Neuve is a Monotype commerical font, http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/searchresults.htm?st=2&cid=H&pg=42
However if customer supplied PDF then I suspect the text appears correct in the PDF, if you are “importing” into Corel or alike, then it will look for fonts. If it is a digital print then I suspect it will be fine if you have sent them the customers PDF as the RIP will render the subset font that is in the PDF.
If you need to import file then I can convert to EPS/AI by using an Acrobat trick

Thanks for the info Dave but I changed the fonts to Helvetica Bold and Medium and the customer was happy with that, so Im spending my weekend making last minute signs :lol1:
