You can buy Artcut, it’s often bundled with the P-Cut. I think it is only about £25. You could still use illustrator to originate your artwork then import the files for cutting.

so is artcut OK? does it provide the necessary driver files for the Pcut? I wasn’t sure whether the problems I was experiencing was just due to the fact that I am not cutting a roll of vinyl but sheets of A2!

Ah well, back to the practicing with the pen 🙂

I use WinPCsign Letter on my P-Cut with no problems – not too sure about the demo version though – The import file option in WinPCsign allows import of ai/vector, jpeg & dxf files no problem and cuts images ok – providing you cut/plot through WinPCsign only.

I use Autocad & Corel Draw to create image – but cant plot directly to P-cut so files have to be imported into WinPCsign

Artcut will certainly do what you want it to do, and very cheaply. It is a design package also but there is nothing to stop you designing in what you have & using it purely to cut. The guy from Sign Wizzard that post’s here sells it I think..

Ah well Thanks for your advice, I have ordered the artcut software. I am sick of trying different demo versions and still not being able to do on the PCUT what I can do on my little graphtec

I only wish that software could work with both machines 🙂

Creation PCuts don’t come with a print driver, so you would require a signmaking program. SignCut and Signblazer should drive both your machines – but only on one PC, they both carry single user licences and can only be registered on a single PC

managed to get a pcut 630 working this week using a demo version of signblazer elements,i couldnt get it to recognise any of the usual software.no probs with cutter now cuts spot on just limited with demo going to buy full program from signwizard

WinpcSign should work great with the machine I used letter for ages until I lost the dammed disk and went and bought a new version PRO still works even on lump of junk vista machine that it works from. only thing is it has a soft dog and I really hate softdogs. just make sure you have the correct pcut model selected in the cutting control panel.
