  • Uniform cadet , print edges bleeding

    Hi All

I am new to this forum but have looked at it several times and found very it very useful.

I have a problem with my uniform cadet where the edges of the print are bleeding , I have cleaned the encoder strip, cleaned the heads including a head soak and also tried different profiles and prints, this has only started in the last week or so and has been printing great up until then.

    I have attached a photo

    Anybody got any ideas please

You could try replacing the wiper if it looks distorted. Although to be honest, it looks like the cyan head could have an electrical fault. Does it do the same thing if you print in a different mode?

Hi Stafford and thanks for the reply

It does it not matter how I print, sometimes more than other, the wipers where replaced about 12mths ago and still look fine.
I think it is the heads as when we got it second hand about 5 yrs ago the test print had a few gaps because it had been stood for a while , over the years it has got better as I clean and flush it regular, but more gaps have started to appear over the last few months.
I’m going to empty it and give it a head soak for a couple of days over Christmas and see if that does any good , but not hopeful

    Good idea.

If you’re starting to see more deflections on the head, maybe it would be worth checking the caps and alignment, although it does look more electrical than anything else.

Good luck, and report back when you can.
