Just had a look, to be fair to them they are offering it free if you collect so they’re not selling it really, personally i’d just bin it.

The bigger pieces can have a ‘handy’ value, I tend to save mine and it is very very handy to have when spraying panels or masking off areas. I don’t do enough spraying to warrant a roll of brown masking paper. And I’m a tight fecker! 😀

To be fair, backing paper has value, I keep larger sections as its ideal for putting thru the laminator with photo prints / posters 🙂

it certainly has a value, a Stone Cleaning company has mine as they put it on the Stone Surface after treatment to stop contamination….. in fact I’ve been looking for a plain paper with silicon release one side and printable the other to brand it for them !

Must admit I have sold some of our off-cuts and other waste (like 2" media tubes that we used to get on small runs) before now, it all goes in the beer kitty !)

It is a shame to see it binned
    My council won’t recycle either

I have kept some of it back for packing items in
Obviously the release side is kept inside when wrapping else you wont getting the tape to stick

Again for packing! Can it be shred?

Eeeeeeeeee! we’re going green all of a sudden

We had a gentleman call in at the shop and asked about having our waste.

We showed him backing paper, app paper waste , tubes and even vinyl waste from weeding. He said he’ll have it all and could we put it all to one side for him.

We said no as there would be too much waste lying around, but if he got up a bin wen could put it all in there for him

    Not seen him again! 🙁

We give ours to a few play/pre schools in the area. They either used the back for painting on (the amount of paint that the kids put on means it won’t fall apart due to the silicon backing or they used the front for playing with off cuts of vinyl like a modern felt sticky board. either way i always try to give my waste away hate seeing it go in landfill
