    Hi All,
came across a new trick to rectify mistakes with t-shirt cut vinyl and thought id pass it on! We use premium flex from magic touch. We had a few tshirts that were printed incorrectly, and was about to bin them and start again, and a new employee said hang on, try this.

We took an ordinary domestic iron, turned it upside down and popped it in to a vice. You then open the tshirt and place the printed vinyl over the iron, the heat from the iron heats the glue and allows you to remove the vinyl. In this case we noticed that the middle of "A’s" and "e’s" has not been peeled, so we just removed them and the tshirts were good to sell. Haven’t tried it on products like soldark yet, but i bet it will work. 20 years of doing tshirts and didn’t know this one!

    cheers
    Dan

Dan, I wish I’d known that a couple of years ago – I’m still cleaning my bike with the remains of a T shirt order that I did incorrectly, and I clean my bike weekly :smiles:

Glad you find it helpful! We have tried removal sprays and all sorts of products over the last 20 years, and i cant believe how simple and easy this method is!

    Cheers

I was taught to do something similar but only if it’s spotted soon after coming off the press. Just re-heat, pick with scalpel and off it comes. I find though that prints on colour items leaves a noticeable stain. White garments are normally safe. Not that it happens that often.
