Anyone tried to use laser printers for making t-shirt transfers?

I’ve got a OKI5450 here and wondered if I could use that for making cheap run t-shirt transfers

I made a t-shirt once for an old girlfriend. It didn’t turn out that great. I’m crap with the iron though so that was probably the reason.

Not sure if OKI’s LED printers will print on transfers.. i have no idea.

but we used to use Xerox lasers in past… no issues except you have to do them on very hot settings.

    Hi
LG Graphics Tel: 0870 835 4418 do a t-shirt transfer paper especially for the LED printers also business cards, tax discs & lots of other promo stuff for oki printers normally the ones used for number plate printing but should work with yours. James Smith is the man to speak to, have only just looked into it all myself and James sent me some samples out to try.

Just another bit of advise with anyone using a laser for near bulk printing (lots of paper/transfers)… unless it is contract based a colour laser is not cheap to run, buying the laser printer is the cheap part, lasers do break down and need parts replacing. Toner yields are calculated at 5% in the adverts, 5% is considered to be a letter.

So, always keep your prices high on laser related printing as parts for lasers can cost £100s.
