Done Dry with the New Oracal 3551gra and laminated in Oraca 215 High Performance Satin

Sorry for the odd angle but I only had my 70-300 lense on my camera 😳 Had to walk for miles to get it in the frame 😕

    My, that’s a big job!
Makes my arms and back ache just looking at it and thinking of how it went on.
    Looks nice and clean.
    love….Jill

Thanks Jill, Your not wrong. 3 days from wo to go, all by myself. Mum and dad helped with the levels and stuff.

One day to print everything, 1 day to laminate everything and then clean and apply to the sides, 1 day to do the rear doors, and then all the trimming.

Today should have been quicker, but it was blowing a gale most of the day, and it added a ‘pain’ factor of about 200% 👿

Nice job Shane, did you print/apply the green or was the vehicle painted that way?

    Nice Job mate,
Can I ask, did you remove the door fittings? or fit around them?

By the way are you sure you got the spelling right, I always thought it began with a "V" 😀
    😉

Surely, if it began with a "V" Peter, the red stripe would be at a steeper angle and make it a lot "harder" to do. 😳

I’ll get me coat, shall I?

    Peter,

I wanted to remove the hardware, but the bolts seemed to have glue on the thread. Couldn’t get them off 👿 So I cut around them. A few little repairs here and there, but the job was good. Would rather have had a clean run, but we can’t always have it easy can we 😕 .

The other problem I had, when I trimmed the signs, the paint came off of the frame wherever the waste had stuck. Never had that before 😮

    Thanks for the comments.

    Steve, you’re a nutter :lol1: :lol1:

😳 gee friends, I embarrass easy you know… 😳 Thanks for your support, I appreciate it. 😛

Yes Andy, the green was laid up as part of the design. The problem with not being able to remove the hardware on the doors, meant the green didn’t line up correctly unfortunately.

I sold the client on the idea of the red stripe (25mm 3M stripe material) before he saw the final job, so he is none the wiser, although in truth, when he picked up the truck, I did explain that the stripe was hiding the problem.

He loved the idea of the red (not in the original design) and thanked me for my input.

I love customers like that 😛
