    Robert-

I always appreciate your tutorials and once I translate the terms from your language to ours (chat.) I always benefit from them. Have you had a chance to try out a Vinyl Zapper yet for yourself? I finally bought one and it is awesome. I cleared a hire van completely in about 10 minutes with not a mark on the paint beneath, and I was hooked. The atttachments for electric drills and the angle grinder stuff never gave satisfaction, speed is wrong, apparently. this is gear-driven and runs at 3400 rpm in its electric form. When you’re done a quick wipe with a damp cloth or even a dusting brush to get the powder off. Ready to letter. I got really excited about it, remembering some of my day-long battles with rebellious vinyl lettering.

    best,

    Steve

Here’s an article i found on removal…. I didn’t read it all, but it covers a little bit on the MBX Zapper, and if it’s true, it’s pretty impressive.

I believe Steve’s testimony as well. I’ll probably give it a try since i have 4 trucks scheduled to replace.. should save some time.

I ‘ve seen it priced from $385 to $420 around here.

It looks a nice little tool but a bit pricey. Does anybody know where to get a good drill attachment from, what will do the same job, there must be something else on the market. :lol1:

We’ve had an MBX for a while now and would really recomend it if you have a lot of small letters to remove, Very fast but a bit messy. But if you have large sections to remove then a heat gun is better.
Fantastic for brittle vinyl or reflective.
