loaded within 15 seconds the first time, the second time it loaded within 5 seconds, i am 56k so that was fast compared to other sites, larger thumbnails took a second or two longer, hope this helps you out, as you know a lot of lucky folk have broadband, and it’s instant.

Loaded in just under 1 minute on 1mb broadband. Maybe split the thumbnails onto a couple of pages Terry, might help the visitors with dial up??

all thumbnails loaded in less than 10 secs on 512 broadband which i receive across a wireless link, so no probs i can see.

Terry
10.30 pm loaded almost instantaneous on dial up system, crystal clear images for such quick load times, had no problems at allKevin

Mucho rapido Terry. No idea what speed of cable connection I have but it loaded up in about 10 seconds. Great work btw, really like the window graphics 😀

I’m on a 56K as well, so it dont get much slower. Loads up fast enough but I found the portfolio page a bit cluttered, like Robert has said why not spread it over a couple of pages or maybe split it into sections for say: Vehicles, shops, pinstriping etc.
There is some terrific work there Terry, over how many years was it done? -
Loads up great on a 56K, Terry
Like the guys have said: spread the stuff over a few pages in different categories
Great stuff by the way 😀
I think I remember some of it from a demo you did
John 😀

Me again
I am not sure whether to split the stuff into sections vans signs etc as I am thinking that if someone is interested in having a van done then they wont bother looking elseware and the chance to perhaps also do their kids room is lost
I always remember a guy with one of thoses hardware shops who used to put everything out front on the pavement ,he said if people dont trip over it they dont now you sell it !
well thats what i was thinking
If i put vans together, signs together etc all on the common porfolio page
it will save people clicking to go to another part of the site.
I will probably go to two pages though as advisedJohn the res for all pics is 72 and the thumbnails were 72px wide
Cheers

Hi Terry
Great site.
On my 56K dial-up it took around 40 seconds for the picture page to complete.
I would make just two comments:
1) As others have said I would break up the images into more than one page. Your friend with the physical shop was dealing with wlak past punters. They are a different breed to punters who surf the net. They can be an impatient lot.
2) I know it’s the modern look, but I find black background sites a turn-off. My web-design son has been trying to get me to change my colour scheme – without success I may add!
I keep telling him, “there are quite a few old farts like me who surf the net too!
