    HI all,

i know this sounds a bit corny, but as some of you know, i’m just in the process of setting up to do clothing etc, with both the cut garment vinyl and the laser printed transfer route. the majority of the stuff will be here over tomorrow.

other than the dvd’s you see on ebay, does anyone offer any training videos? i plan on popping along to magic touch, possibly in a couple of weeks when i take an engine to crewe, but in the meantime, i greener than a green thing on an eco activists green boat!

    cheers.

i’ve seen some, but was wondering if there was anything more comprehensive, for the sake of a couple of quid, i might get an ebay one, but would rather buy a proper one from the makers!

simple stuff like which way up the stuff goes in the cutter! hard to tell to be honest!

Hugh the stuff goes in the plotter the same as vinyl, the stuff you cut need to be uppermost, but dont forget to mirror it as you turn it upside down to apply by heat press…

hi pete, cheers, i know it goes in that way, but with the white for eg, it’s damned hard to see which side is which, the cut will have to be pretty shallow too! insanely thin stuff by the looks, i guess i’ll find out when i start playing, could be an expensive trial period though!

Hi Hugh, if using the really thin film I don’t change the blade or depth settings, leave it as for cut vinyl. As for which side, hold film up to the light, plastic side is much shinier than the cutting side. (This is how I do it, others will have different ideas, no doubt!)

Hugh, if you visit the website of the company you were having a rant about earlier, you’ll find a little freebie that’ll make up for their bad service 🙂 🙂
Click on tech support, and you’ll find all the manuals to download. They give force, temp, times etc.
Incidentally, clear, transparent side down, and,as has been said, don’t forget to mirror. 😮
