Robert
that’s what i was beginning to think, but didn’t want to call back and sound stupid. :lol1:
is a Summa 120SE any good ???? 😕

🙂
Well Summa defintaley do a 120SE model so that would be my guess.
I know what you mean about sounding stupid though. I do that quite often. 😳

Alright Ady.
I don’t have a Summa but they have been mentioned quite a lot on here, so have a look round the boards. One thing I have heard is that the tracking on them is very good.

I use a Summu D120 – not the SE version (don’t even know what the SE will be…)
Like Andy said – it’s tracking is phenominal – as good as a Graphtec.
(I’d previouisly used a Graphtec FC-5100 – 130) Ran a 6.5m (yup 6.5 metres) stretch a month back covered in scroll work – didn’t miss a beat.Nice quality piece of kit – simple looking, not nearly as slick in appearance as a new Graphtec but does ‘exactly what is says on the tin’. There’s usually some special offer on with Victory – free stand / media holder / extended warranty. I’m well pleased with it – no probs in the last 2 1/2 years. Gone through one knife holder (ball bearings fell apart!) and about a dozen blades.
Easy to set up, use, configure & run.
The only thing missing (compared to the GT) is a front media sensor to automatically find the start of the material…but if you can’t hit the up arrow for a second something’s far wrong!!!

thanks for the replies, it’s been a while since we bought a new plotter and
feel a bit ‘out of touch’ . . . . . .it’s now between a Summa 120SE or a Graphtec 5000-120.
they seem pretty similar and a simarlaly priced.
is one better, or is it just personal preference ?
